What you can contribute
Drafting draft judgments, particularly in the areas of social insurance law (AVS/AI for persons domiciled abroad, accident insurance (e.g. company affiliation), specific questions regarding occupational benefits (e.g. partial liquidations of pension institutions) and public health law (in particular hospital lists and tariffs, highly specialized medicine, list of specialties, medicines and medical devices)
Participating in the instruction of appeal proceedings in administrative law matters
Drafting the minutes of deliberations and public debates
What makes you unique
University degree in law, preferably with a bar exam and/or doctorate
A few years of professional experience in administration, a law firm or a court and/or in the legal subject matters of Court III, or an academic career, constitute a preferential qualification
Sharp analytical mind, precise linguistic expression, high autonomy, stress resistance, ability to work in a team and to accept criticism
German as the main and working language; good active knowledge of a second official language and if possible passive knowledge of a third official language

The Tribunal administratif fédéral (TAF), located in St-Gall, hears appeals against decisions rendered by federal authorities. It rules as a court of last instance in most cases; among the judgments subject to appeal to the Federal Supreme Court, only a minority is challenged. The credit enjoyed by the TAF jurisprudence is primarily due to excellent quality of work and an adequate duration of proceedings.
