What you can contribute

• Create, publish, and update geological products in various formats (GIS, 3D models, maps, reports, etc.)
• Interpret geological information for the development of models
• Coordinate and supervise projects and mandates conducted with external service providers (deadlines, services, budgets, etc.)
• Write and review scientific publications
• Participate as an expert in geological projects and promote collaboration with internal and external partners (federal offices, cantons, universities, etc.)

What makes you unique

• University degree (master's or doctorate) in geology (or equivalent)
• At least 6 years of professional experience in the relevant fields
• Very good knowledge of the geology of Switzerland as well as good proficiency in GIS (e.g., ArcGIS)
• Team-oriented personality, equipped with strong analytical skills and a great ability to solve complex problems

swisstopo -- knowing where

swisstopo is the geoinformation center of the Confederation. It is responsible for national surveying and coordinates the Confederation's activities regarding geodata and geoservices. swisstopo provides its partners and clients with current, high-quality geodata throughout Switzerland. Its products can be delivered in different forms: digitized or printed national maps, 3D models, or Web services. The Office is also the competent federal authority regarding geology and high-level supervision of official surveying.
