We are looking for an AI Automation Engineer to dynamize the traveler journey for millions of vacationers. If you are passionate about designing and building AI solutions, keep reading, as you could be the ideal candidate for this position.

Role in brief:

Job title - AI Automation Engineer

Work mode - hybrid from Switzerland

Team - you will join the automation engineering team within the automation department.

Level - Professional

Location - Chiasso, Switzerland (only for hybrid positions)

Contract - CDI - full time (36 h/week EUR)

Your impact:

Build and evolve n8n automation workflows.

Design, build and maintain production-quality workflows on our self-hosted n8n Enterprise platform (AWS EKS), supporting business units across the company and helping to develop our self-service / Citizen Developer automation program.

Design and build custom AI solutions.

Develop applications and tools using AI to support key business processes. These solutions will be tailored to the specific needs of different departments.

Connect AI tools with our systems.

Integrate external AI platforms (such as OpenAI, Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude) with our existing tools via APIs, low-code platforms like n8n, and custom connectors.

Contribute to our governed knowledge layer.

Support and extend our Universal Knowledge Base / Enterprise Context, including document ingestion pipelines, retrieval quality and access governance.

Work with natural language processing (NLP).

Create tools to analyze conversations, automate emails and generate insights from customer interactions.

Build generative AI solutions.

Use generative AI to automate tasks such as content creation and communication personalization.

Maintain and improve systems.

Update code, monitor system performance and retrain models regularly to ensure optimal operation.

Collaborate with technical teams.

Work closely with data engineers, DevOps and other developers to ensure that AI tools are scalable and reliable.

NLP-based systems analyzing calls and emails

RAG assistants and chatbots based on our Enterprise Context knowledge base

Virtual assistants and chatbots to support internal teams

Recommendation engines guiding sales or support actions in real time

Automated tools to generate personalized content

Dashboards and reporting tools highlighting AI-generated insights

Your expertise:

More than 3 years of hands-on experience in AI development:

You have built and deployed AI solutions having a real impact on the company - whether it be an increase in revenue, a reduction in costs or an improvement in customer satisfaction (NPS).

Fast and pragmatic builder:

You move quickly from idea to functional prototype, and improve as you go. You aim for results, not perfection.

End-to-end problem solver:

You take ownership of the project from idea to deployment - writing documentation only if necessary, and focusing on what works.

Strong technical troubleshooting ability:

You can quickly identify the cause of technical problems using logs, development tools or pattern recognition.

Security-conscious mindset:

You understand authentication, authorization scopes and secure credential management.

Communicator and storyteller:

You present your ideas clearly, show live demonstrations with confidence, and help business teams understand the value of your work.

Your skills and tools

Automation platforms:

Hands-on experience with n8n (or similar low-code platforms such as Make, Zapier), including self-hosted/enterprise deployments.

Languages:

Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript.

AI/ML Development:

Experience with LLMs (e.g. Claude, Gemini, OpenAI), prompt engineering, and building agentic workflows; knowledge of ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus.

RAG & Knowledge Systems:

Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases and document ingestion pipelines
