The Digital Forensics department is affiliated with the Criminal Department. The IT specialists make a significant contribution to the investigation of crimes through the securing, analysis, and evaluation of digital traces. Your activity requires a high degree of professional competence and a sense of responsibility.

Your tasks

• On-site deployments: Carrying out forensic investigations and analyses of digital data in criminal cases
• Securing, evaluating, and interpreting digital evidence in close cooperation with the case leads
• Creating well-founded investigation reports as well as investigation and prevention recommendations
• Participating in training and further education activities in the field of IT forensics
• Promoting cross-departmental cooperation and the further development of the department

Your profile

• Completed training in computer science, preferably in digital forensics or a related field, as well as initial professional experience
• Strong hardware and system knowledge as well as high IT affinity and willingness for continuous professional further education
• Good comprehension and combination skills, analytical thinking ability, and a structured, exact, and goal-oriented way of working, even in demanding deployment situations
• Proactive, loyal, and discreet personality with high social competence, strong team orientation, as well as a flexible and solution-oriented attitude towards occasional deployments outside of regular working hours
• Very good written and oral expression skills in German as well as good English skills
