Tasks

Initial orientation

As a social worker in the migration center, you support refugees who find accommodation in the cantonal initial reception center and ensure the provision of material aid in accordance with legal requirements.

Counseling, networking and integration

In direct contact, you advise the supported persons on housing, health, education and other topics. You initiate the integration process, network the refugees with external agencies and promote them in the independent management of their everyday lives, taking into account personal needs and respective resources.

Taking responsibility

You make individual decisions within the framework of case management, work closely in an interdisciplinary manner with internal and external specialist agencies and network with public and private institutions.

Profile

Experience

You have experience in counseling - preferably in the asylum and refugee sector. Working in a legal context and ensuring subsistence according to legal entitlements brings you joy.

Personality

As a stable personality with emotional stability, you bring empathy for people from other cultures as well as the ability to maintain boundaries. You are resilient, flexible and a team player.

Education

You have training in Social Work HF/FH.
