AI First Data Engineer

Job description

Is your passion to create real added value for our clients through AI and to not only develop modern data and AI solutions, but also to successfully put them into production in collaboration with your team of AI agents?

Here is what motivates you in the morning:

• You build data pipelines and data models with Databricks or Microsoft Fabric on Azure, thus creating the foundation for modern AI and analytics solutions.
• You clarify requirements directly with our clients, design the architecture, and drive implementation autonomously.
• You guide your team of AI agents through development, testing, and documentation, distribute tasks in a targeted manner, and ensure the quality of results.
• You develop innovative agents and workflows with your team of AI agents and continuously optimize them.
• You make data usable with semantic models and reports in Power BI, thus creating the foundation for robust analytical and AI applications.

We expect from you:

• Practical experience in data engineering with Databricks or Microsoft Fabric as well as strong skills in SQL and Python.
• A high degree of autonomy and experience in direct contact with clients: you ask the right questions, make decisions, and lead topics to completion independently.
• A pronounced AI-first mindset: you think in terms of agents and workflows, experiment with new tools, and question results critically.
• Deep knowledge of Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
• The pleasure of taking responsibility, orchestrating tasks, and delivering high-quality results with your team of AI agents.
• The curiosity and willingness to continuously stay informed about the latest AI, Azure, and Microsoft technologies.
• Availability to accompany clients in German-speaking Switzerland also on-site.
