The Hochschule Luzern -- Wirtschaft is the Central Swiss competence center in the economically and socially significant areas of business and regional economics, banking and finance, communication and marketing, as well as tourism and mobility. As part of the Hochschule Luzern, the Institut für Tourismus und Mobilität ITM carries out basic and continuing education and acts extensively in research and consulting projects. For our competence center Tourism, we are looking for you as of February 2027 or by arrangement as Lecturer Tourism and Digitalization 80 -- 100% Your tasks * You acquire, lead and process third-party funded research and consulting projects and thereby contribute to the further profiling of the ITM. * You initiate and process in particular projects on data-driven innovations and new digital technologies in the application area of tourism (e.g. Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, digital platforms, blockchain technologies) * You participate in interdisciplinary research initiatives of the Hochschule, especially in the environment of <<Blockchain Zug -- Joint Research Initiative>>. * You publish in scientific specialist journals and practice-oriented magazines. * You drive your own digitalization-related research topics in the field of tourism and strengthen our network. * You develop courses and teach in basic and continuing education courses. * You are in close exchange with students and supervise their work. Your profile * You have a university degree in business or economics with a doctorate. * You have specialist knowledge in the field of tourism (and/or mobility), especially with a focus on digitalization * You are interested in the application of new technologies and data-based approaches in tourism and mobility and ideally bring corresponding research or practical experience * Several years of professional experience outside of universities distinguishes you. * Sound professional experience in the higher education environment (university of applied sciences or university) is an advantage. * You enjoy taking on responsibility and leadership tasks in research and teaching. * You have proven acquisition successes of larger research projects. * Your methodological-didactic skills and your teaching experience at the tertiary education level facilitate your entry. * You command German securely in speaking and writing (ideally at native speaker level) and have good English skills.
