IP Paralegal / Patent Specialist (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• + Administrative support of the international patent, trademark, and design portfolio as well as maintenance of the IP database and electronic files
• Processing incoming mail, recording and monitoring relevant deadlines as well as correspondence with internal contact persons, external consultants, and IP offices in German and English
• Preparation and electronic filing of intellectual property applications as well as administrative support of the processes from application to grant, registration, or renewal
• Coordination and control of annual, renewal, and official fees via the online services of national and international IP offices, especially IGE, EPA, and WIPO
• Execution and evaluation of trademark searches and availability checks as well as monitoring of relevant trademark publications
• Creation of portfolio overviews, statistics, and reports as well as support with budget planning and invoice processing
• Ensuring high data quality in the IP management system as well as participation in the simplification and digitalization of administrative processes in the IP area

Your qualifications

• + Commercial training (KV or comparable qualification), ideally supplemented by further training as a Patent Specialist, IP Paralegal, or the European Patent Administration Certificate (EPVZ)
• Very structured, careful, and independent way of working, strong awareness of deadlines, and high organizational skills
• Good German and English skills in spoken and written language
• Several years of professional experience in the intellectual property field, preferably in an industrial company, are desirable
• Good knowledge of the online services and registers of national and international IP offices is an advantage
• Initial experience with IP management systems, especially IP Now
