To drive our continuous organic growth, we are constantly looking for highly qualified specialists. To strengthen our team in Research & Development in Bubendorf/BL, we are looking for a dedicated Scientist Peptide Active Ingredients R&D Flow Chemistry (a), 100%. The field of activity includes numerous different steps of the modern synthesis of peptidic active ingredients, peptide fragments and amino acid building blocks in solution, as well as various technologies for the concentration and isolation of the products.

Your tasks:

• Responsibility for the planning, analysis and interpretation of experiments as well as the presentation of the results obtained
• Planning and timely implementation of development work or process optimizations in cooperation with other departments, taking into account quality, economic efficiency and safety
• Scaling of chemistry and equipment from the laboratory to the pilot scale
• Focus on the LPPS Flow Chemistry area (organic chemistry in solution, peptide couplings, protecting group chemistry, extraction, precipitation, crystallization)
• Writing of reports and creation of presentations on the work carried out for internal and external customers
• Active contribution to the further development of the Bachem Flow Chemistry platform
• Active participation in the continuous improvement of our equipment and workflows as well as maintenance of the laboratory infrastructure

Your profile:

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
• Experience in preparative organic synthesis including flow chemistry and a passion for process technology
• Structured, precise and independent way of working that allows you to maintain an overview at all times
• Strong communicative and organizational skills
• Reliability, independence and ability to work in a team
• Very good German and English skills in speaking and writing
• Knowledge of peptide chemistry and common analytical techniques such as UHPLC and LC-MS is an advantage
