Job Description

• Support, optimization and continuous further development of complex network infrastructures in the UMB Cloud
• Independent analysis and resolution of network faults (network troubleshooting)
• Collaboration in the general operation of the UMB Cloud (performing incidents and changes)
• Collaboration on the strategy, design and architecture of the network infrastructure of the UMB Cloud

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship or studies in computer science and at least 2 years of professional experience as a Network Engineer in a service provider environment
• Sound specialist knowledge in the areas of Perimeter Security, Routing & Switching, EVPN, BGP, TCP/IP & automation
• Knowledge of VMware, Linux and Windows servers is an advantage
• Knowledge, training or certifications from Cisco & HPE/Juniper are an advantage
• Your German is stylistically confident, and you write and speak English
• Willingness for on-call duty (6 to 8 weeks per year), partly night and weekend assignments
