Join the Centrale commune d'achats de l'État de Genève and give a new dimension to your purchasing expertise! In order to complete the existing team, we are looking for

a Commercial Buyer or a Commercial Buyer ##

Our commitment ###

As the reference for public procurement within the cantonal administration, the centrale commune d'achat (CCA) accompanies the services of the State in their projects for the acquisition of supplies and services.

Our role? To identify the best solutions, negotiate, secure purchases, and create value for the administration and its beneficiaries.

Beyond the operational dimension, our purchases respond to concrete challenges: cost control, risk management, quality of services, innovation, and sustainable development.

We are today looking for a buyer to join our team and take charge of various purchasing projects, in close collaboration with numerous services and partners within the State.

Your mission ###

From the analysis of the need to the implementation of the solution, you manage various purchasing projects:

  • accompanying services in their acquisition projects: market studies, specifications, calls for tender, catalogue management;
  • identifying suppliers and solutions offering the best quality/price/service ratio;
  • conducting procedures in compliance with public procurement law;
  • advising State services on all purchasing matters;
  • negotiating and building lasting partnerships with suppliers and requesting services;
  • analyzing and maintaining up-to-date purchasing data.

We offer you a varied position, at the crossroads of strategy, negotiation, analysis, and consulting, with different partners and projects on a daily basis.

Your profile ###

Education and experience
You hold a Bachelor's degree, a federal diploma, or an equivalent qualification in the field of purchasing and have at least five years of experience in purchasing. A Master's degree is an asset.
A knowledge of public procurement regulations is an important asset. If you do not yet master it, you are capable of quickly acquiring new knowledge in a regulated environment.
Good proficiency in an ERP (Oracle, SAP, etc.) as well as Excel is also desired.

Expected skills
As a purchasing specialist, you demonstrate curiosity and dynamism, and know how to quickly understand a need, analyze the challenges, and propose adapted solutions.
You possess in particular the following skills:

  • negotiation talent and the ability to argue and convince various audiences;
  • analytical spirit and the ability to propose strategies and evaluate commercial and legal risks;
  • interpersonal ease, team spirit, curiosity, flexibility, and sense of initiative;
  • excellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships of trust;
  • rigor and autonomy.

Your advantages ###

A meaningful job:
Your purchases contribute directly to the functioning of public services and have an impact on the daily life of the Genevan population.

Diversity and responsibilities:
You intervene on various purchasing projects and categories, with real autonomy in managing your files.

A stimulating environment:
You work with many professions and partners and develop expertise at the crossroads of purchasing, law, economy, and project management.

A human-sized team:
You join a dynamic team of about thirty people, in an environment that promotes collaboration and the sharing of expertise.

Flexible working conditions:
We offer flexible schedules as well as the possibility of teleworking, in compliance with the requirements of the position.

Professional development:
The État de Genève offers an important and varied range of continuous training to support the development of skills.

What if your next challenge was at the CCA?

Do you wish to put your purchasing expertise at the service of a large-scale organization, work on various projects, and contribute concretely to the performance of the cantonal administration?
We look forward to meeting you.
