This is your contribution

• Independent and objective audit and advisory services for the benefit of the Head of VBS and the members of the departmental management
• Leadership and targeted execution of diverse audits and editing the corresponding reports in a management-oriented form
• Participation in the audit, in particular of the federal accounts of the Defence Group and armasuisse
• Cooperation in price audits within the framework of procurements
• Designing the audits as well as processes for quality assurance, so that they can be provided in accordance with internationally recognized standards
• Providing specialist information as well as participation in working groups and specialist committees

What makes you unique

• Degree (HF/FH/Uni/ETH) in business administration or in a similar field of study; ideally supplemented with a diploma as a Wirtschaftsprüferin / Wirtschaftsprüfer or as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
• Several years of audit experience in the private sector at an auditing firm, an Internal Audit department and/or the public administration
• Analytical thinking skills, critical thinking, initiative, understanding of political contexts, assertiveness, high social competence, trust-building communication
• Good active knowledge of at least one second official language and, if possible, passive knowledge of a third official language. Furthermore, good oral and written knowledge of the English language is required

In a nutshell

Internal Audit VBS -- with an area of activity ranging from defense to civil protection to sport -- is the management instrument of the Head of VBS. As a member of the corresponding finance team, you can contribute, among other things, to the audit of the federal accounts of the Defence Group and armasuisse, to price audits and to other interesting audit topics of the VBS.

The General Secretariat of the VBS is the actual staff organization of the department. It supports the Head of Department as a member of the Federal Council as well as in the management of the department. The GS-VBS develops the political strategy as well as guidelines for the administrative units and supports and monitors their implementation. Furthermore, it ensures planning, controlling and coordination at the departmental level in the cross-sectional areas of personnel, finance, law and informatics, but also in security policy or in the area of space and environment.
