The contribution you can make

• Handle independent and objective audits and consulting in favor of the head of DDPS and the members of the DDPS Directorate
• Manage and carry out targeted audits of various types as well as draft the corresponding reports according to management principles
• Participate in the audit in particular of the Confederation accounts of the Defense Group and of armasuisse
• Collaborate on price checks within the scope of procurement
• Prepare audits and quality control processes to ensure they can be provided according to internationally recognized standards
• Transmit specialist information as well as participate in working groups and specialist bodies

What distinguishes you

• Diploma (SSS / SUP / university / PF) in business administration or a related field, ideally completed with a diploma as a certified accountant or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
• Several years of experience as an auditor in the private sector at an auditing firm, an internal audit department and/or a public administration
• Ability to think analytically, critical thinking, initiative, understanding of political connections, ability to assert oneself, high social competence and communication aimed at strengthening trust
• Good active knowledge of at least one second official language and, if possible, passive knowledge of the third official language; good written and oral knowledge of English

In summary

Internal Audit DDPS, with a field of activity ranging from defense to civil protection to sport, is a conduct tool for the head of DDPS. As a member of the relevant finance team, you will be able to provide your contribution, among other things, in the audit of the Confederation accounts of the Defense Group and of armasuisse, in price checks and in other DDPS topics related to auditing.

The General Secretariat of DDPS is the actual staff organization of the department. It assists the head of department in his role as a member of the Federal Council and in the direction of DDPS, develops the political strategy as well as the directives for the administrative units and supports and monitors their implementation. In addition, it provides planning, controlling and coordination at the department level in the cross-cutting sectors Personnel, Finance, Law and IT as well as in the Security Policy and Territory and environment sectors.
