Tasks ##

• You support and advise our Director, the other employees of the Amt für Baubewilligungen, as well as the Bausektion (construction permit authority of the Stadt Zürich) in more complex legal questions of public construction law and the associated legal areas (e.g., environmental protection law).
• You represent the Bausektion as well as the Amt für Baubewilligungen in all legal remedy proceedings and process requests for inspection of files.
• You participate actively in the co-design and in the determination of practice regarding public construction law and the associated legal areas.
• The processing of written inquiries, interpellations, postulates, and motions from the Gemeinderat also belong to your tasks.
• If necessary, you represent the AfB regarding construction law questions in cross-departmental working groups.

Profile ##

• You have a completed degree in law at a Swiss university.
• Preferably, you bring practical experience in the field of public construction and planning law.
• We also count on your initiative and openness to new things.
• Additionally, you bring flexibility and a hint of humor.
• Your analytical way of thinking, your methodical approach, and your transparent communication style round off your profile.

At the Amt für Baubewilligungen, we are working today on the Zürich of tomorrow. Our task is to examine building applications, buildings, and installations with regard to construction law and safety. We inform, advise, assess, and mediate even before the submission of a building application, conduct the permit procedure until the decision, and monitor the execution of the construction work with regard to construction and safety regulations.
