Tasks ##

• Understand customer and market requirements for diesel generator sets.
• Define the product strategy and associated roadmap.
• Manage the product lifecycle while ensuring profitability.

Skills ##

• Degree in engineering or business with 5 years of industry experience.
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engines and the generator set industry.
• Project management, communication, and leadership skills.

Your responsibilities ##

• You ensure that customer and market requirements for diesel generator sets are understood
• You define the product strategy and product roadmap
• You create business cases and profitability analyses
• You analyze the market and competition in the diesel generator set segment
• You manage requirements and ensure that the product meets them
• You ensure the success of the assigned product group throughout its lifecycle in a matrix organization
• You guarantee the short and long-term profitability of the product group
• You manage the product portfolio and product variants
• You track all relevant product key performance indicators (financial, quality, delivery performance) and work towards their improvement
• You proactively monitor and participate in industry events related to diesel power generation to identify and exploit new developments

Your profile ##

• You hold a university degree in engineering with a good business understanding or in business with a good technical understanding
• You have more than 5 years of experience in product management and/or business development in the generator set industry
• You possess solid industry knowledge and practical experience with diesel engine generator sets
• You are perfectly proficient in English and German (B2), with knowledge of French being an asset
• You have advanced mastery of Microsoft Project
• You are recognized for your strong commercial and customer orientation
• Your enthusiastic and open personality, combined with excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, sets you apart
• You are resilient and assertive in your approach
