What you can contribute

• Conduct audits and provide advisory services with full independence and objectivity to the head of the DDPS and the members of the department's management
• Manage various audits, perform them in accordance with objectives and draft the corresponding reports in a management-adapted format
• Contribute to the audit of the Confederation's accounts, particularly for the Groupement Défense and armasuisse
• Participate in price verification in the context of acquisitions
• Design audits and quality assurance processes so that they are carried out in accordance with recognized international standards
• Provide technical information and participate in working groups and specialized bodies

What makes you unique

• Degree (ES, HES, university, EPF) in business administration or a similar discipline, ideally supplemented by advanced training as a certified public accountant or a certified internal auditor (CIA)
• Several years of experience in auditing in the private sector with an auditing firm, an internal audit body or the public administration
• Critical and analytical mindset, sense of initiative, understanding of political issues, ability to assert oneself, high social skills, ability to communicate in a way that builds trust
• Good active knowledge in a second official language and, if possible, passive knowledge in a third, good oral and written skills in English are indispensable

The DDPS Internal Audit -- with its field of activity extending from defense to sport via population protection -- is a management instrument of the head of the DDPS. In your capacity as a member of the ad hoc financial team, you can, in particular, audit the accounts of the Groupement Défense and armasuisse, ensure price verification and address other interesting DDPS audit topics.

The DDPS General Secretariat is the department's staff body. It assists the head of the department as a member of the Federal Council and in the management of the department. The DDPS SG develops the political strategy and the directives intended for the administrative units, supports and monitors their implementation. It also ensures planning, control and coordination at the departmental level in the cross-cutting areas of personnel, finance, law and IT, but also in the field of security policy or in the field of spatial planning and the environment.
