ICT System Engineer Senior (Network & Transport)

Bern (and home office) | 80-100% (job sharing possible) | This is your contribution * Work in the team according to agile DevSecOps methods and actively participate in ceremonies at the Agile Team and Agile Release Train level * Work closely with the Product Owner to understand user requirements and develop complex solution proposals * Define requirements for existing and future networks regarding performance, availability, redundancy, Quality of Service, security, hardening, and time synchronization * Analyze disruptions of large ICT platforms or applications and actively contribute to troubleshooting (incl. on-call service) * Maintain system technical documentation This makes you unique * Higher vocational education in computer science, network or telecommunications technology as well as several years of experience as a Senior Network Architect or Network Engineer * Experience in technical coordination and collaboration with various network operators, system owners, and suppliers * Very good knowledge of IP and Layer-3 architectures, routing, Segment Routing, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Quality of Service (QoS), and network segmentation * Sound experience with highly available, distributed network architectures as well as with redundancy, security, hardening, and lifecycle requirements * Sound experience in the technical evaluation of existing networks as well as in the conception and integration of network, transport, and transition solutions * Good active knowledge of a second official language In a nutshell As a Senior Lead Engineer, become part of the Kommando Cyber and shape the end-to-end network and transport architecture of mobile security communication and ensure that existing and future networks together meet the requirements for availability, security, performance, and resilience.
