At BitHawk AG, accounting is not considered a chore, but a central steering instrument. As an accountant, you are not a supporting character, but at the heart of the action - where decisions are prepared and processes are developed.

Your tasks

• You assume responsibility for financial accounting, plan and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and carry out closing work autonomously as well as in close collaboration with the Finance team.
• You prepare VAT and tax returns correctly and on time.
• You are a competent contact person for questions regarding entries, closing, and processes, thinking beyond your own area of responsibility.
• You work in close collaboration with the CFO and autonomously take charge of cross-functional financial topics.
• You prepare reportings and analyses that truly help decision-makers.
• You implement our internal control processes, question existing procedures, and develop them continuously.
• You actively support during audits and ensure the availability of necessary documents as well as coordination.
• You plan and assume responsibility for inventories, from preparation to successful execution.
• You bring your own ideas, assume responsibilities, and contribute with the Finance team to the development of our processes and working methods.

What you bring

• A professional certificate in finance and accounting or at least 8 years of professional experience in an equivalent position, solid experience in closing, as well as a deep understanding of numbers.
• ERP systems are a natural work tool for you; ideally, you know Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or NAV. The M365 environment is very familiar to you and supports you in your efficient daily professional life.
• You think and act autonomously: you do not wait for work, you find it - and you complete tasks proactively instead of simply executing them.
• You are happy to assume responsibilities, even beyond the classic accountant's domain, and work closely with controlling, accounts payable, and other interfaces.
• You communicate clearly, like working in a team, and ensure through your thinking that everything goes well.
• Very good knowledge of German, both spoken and written.
