ICT Architect Senior (Safety)

Bern (and Home Office) | 80-100% (Job sharing possible) | This is the contribution you can make * Define, maintain and keep ready for certification the safety architecture and the Safety Case for military aviation and air traffic control systems throughout the entire lifecycle according to applicable industry standards * Conduct hazard, risk and safety analyses for hardware and software, networks and processes, define safety goals (SIL/DAL) and integrate them into procurement or change projects * Ensure resilience, operational safety and controlled degradation behavior, architecturally anchor corresponding concepts for safety-critical services as well as establish Architecture Decision Records, Design Principles and technical standards * Manage change, configuration & fault management from a safety perspective and check every change (Change, Release, HW replacement, process adjustment) for safety impacts * Coordinate the collaboration between Safety and Security as well as regulatory substantiation, compile technical approval dossiers for regulatory approvals (MAA/FOCA/BAZL), prepare and accompany safety audits * Act as the central contact person between various stakeholders such as operations, security and customers as well as drive the continuous development of the safety culture What makes you unique * University or university of applied sciences degree in aerospace engineering, in computer science or telecommunications (or comparable disciplines) as well as experience and competencies in the field of safety, data protection, compliance and governance requirements * Good knowledge and operational experience in the aviation environment * Several years of experience in ICT architecture, as well as integration of complex ICT systems with sound knowledge in System Safety * In-depth understanding of modern security concepts such as Zero Trust, Defense-in-Depth as well as Cross-Domain and zone concepts * Ability to consolidate technical requirements of different stakeholders within agile frameworks (SAFe) and to lead interdisciplinary teams technically and align them towards common target images * Good knowledge of at least one second official language and, if possible, passive knowledge of a third official language In a nutshell Become part of Kommando Cyber and actively help shape the digitalization and in particular the digital networking of the Swiss Army.
