Engineer Batch Operation Area

Tasks that challenge you and make you better every day ##

• Operation and monitoring of data processing systems as well as control from the operations control center on four platforms (zOS, AIX, Linux, Windows) of four environments (DEVE, TEST, QUAL, PROD)
• Preparation and execution of deployment work during technical and applicational releases including stopping/starting applications and system components
• Contribution in essential areas to the stability, availability, and continuous further development of the IT systems
• Control of mass processing (Batch) via scheduler with complex, cross-platform system dependencies
• Planning, preparing, and executing processing orders
• Analyzing system messages, initiating transition and contingency measures in the event of disturbances, as well as scheduling the on-call units
• Clarifying, documenting, and resolving exceptional situations in batch processing and erroneous system states
• Initiating and controlling necessary maintenance and servicing work

What you bring with you ##

• Ideally, you have sound experience in zOS, AIX, Linux, and Windows
• You feel comfortable in maintaining processing, maintenance, and failure logs as well as statistics and control documents
• The topics of scheduling operating resources, coordination, and independent regulation of shift operations and on-call readiness are not foreign to you
• Willingness to work in shift operations
• The willingness to perform on-call duty on weekends
• Service-oriented thinking, technical know-how combined with business expertise as well as level-appropriate communication awareness
• A winning personality with assertiveness
• Confident appearance and very good German and English skills (spoken and written)
