Do you want to specifically use your experience in the environmental field and take on professional responsibility? At the Amt für Umwelt und Energie, you will shape the enforcement of air pollution control regulations and assess plants in the permit procedure regarding air pollution control and noise protection. In addition, you will advise authorities and private individuals. Actively help shape immission control in the Canton of Bern.

Your tasks

• Take professional responsibility for air pollution control and ensure the enforcement of regulations
• Assess industrial, commercial, and agricultural plants and prepare specialist reports in permit procedures
• Process complaints and problematic cases and write statements
• Develop concepts and strategies for the further development of enforcement and accompany political matters
• Advise authorities and private individuals and represent the specialist office in working groups and professional organizations

Your profile

• University or university of applied sciences degree in a scientific subject
• Comprehensive specialist knowledge through several years of practical experience in administration or the private sector
• Independent and solution-oriented action
• Enjoyment of communication and customer contact
• Proficient German and business fluent in French
