General Project Manager Renovation Headquarters (80% - 100%)

The Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank (BLKB) is investing in the future and is renovating and expanding its headquarters in Liestal. The project, which is expected to last until 2031, is currently in the preliminary project phase. For this demanding large-scale project, we are looking for an experienced, assertive personality as a General Project Manager.

You will become part of the Projects & Processes department. We manage the project portfolio, drive the further development of our banking processes, and lead complex enterprise-wide projects. Our 16-member, interdisciplinary team acts across the company as a strong bridge builder - characterized by a drive to act and a great desire to shape. For the holistic management and technical leadership of the large-scale construction project, we are looking for you as a driving force and expert. After project completion, there are internal bank follow-up solutions for the management of demanding subsequent projects.

Your area of responsibility ###

You...

• represent BLKB as the client towards the authorities, the planners, and the contractors
• ensure the fulfillment of project goals through the consistent use of professional project management methods and are responsible for the implementation as well as the ongoing monitoring of a project-related quality management for the construction project
• actively accompany the client during the entire project duration on strategic and operational issues, prepare sound decision-making bases, and ensure level-appropriate reporting to the client as well as project committees
• act as the central contact person for the Executive Board, the Bank Council, as well as other important internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a proactive and level-appropriate information and communication policy
• assume technical leadership of the interdisciplinary project team, coordinate the overarching cooperation, and ensure high motivation and goal orientation through clear communication

Your profile ###

You...

• have a higher degree as an architect or civil engineer (FH/ETH) with a strong professional track record as well as supplementary training in project management
• bring several years of proven experience as a General Project Manager on the client side of larger construction and real estate projects and preferably have knowledge of large renovation or re-use projects as well as experience in the financial industry
• are an assertive, confident, and negotiable personality who maintains an overview even in demanding situations, brings different interests together, and brings about decisions
• have demonstrable experience in leading interdisciplinary project teams in the construction industry as well as in the goal-oriented steering of external partners
• are characterized by excellent communication skills at all levels - paired with diplomatic skill -
• convince through high initiative, structured and goal-oriented action as well as a pronounced awareness of costs, quality, and risks
