To complement the Legal & Compliance department, we are looking for you as Legal Counsel 50% (w/m/d) starting March 1, 2027, or by arrangement Tasks * Identification of legal-political fields of action with a focus on financial market law and development of corresponding proposed solutions and concepts * Processing of relevant legal topics in the areas of financial market law, compliance, and digitalization * Management and coordination of working groups as well as preparation of statements and decision-making bases in cooperation with our specialist committees and other experts * Representation of industry interests towards politics, the public, business, partner associations, as well as authorities and international organizations * Organization and implementation of continuing education events (webinars/seminars) and writing specialist articles * Maintenance and further development of the self-regulation of the SBVg * Processing of internal legal questions Requirements * Completed legal studies at a Swiss university, preferably with a Swiss attorney patent * Broad legal background with several years of professional experience in the field of financial market law; knowledge and experience in the field of compliance (especially anti-money laundering and implementation of sanctions), digitalization, and data protection are an advantage * High commitment, initiative, and independence; dynamic, entrepreneurially thinking, and service-oriented personality who understands what moves the banking world and can accordingly set priorities and represent standpoints * Team player with excellent communication skills and high social competence * Very good, stylistically confident written and oral expression as well as the ability to extract the central points from complex issues and represent them decisively * Business fluent in German and English; good French skills are an advantage Offer * Co-shaping the framework conditions of the Swiss banking location and a decisive contribution to an influential association at the pulse of Swiss politics and economy * An extremely interesting, broad, and diverse field of activity * A collegial and motivated team of lawyers * Modern and centrally located offices in Zürich (main place of work), Basel, Bern, and Genf as well as the possibility of home office * Attractive fringe benefits and social benefits * Opportunity for networking and further development of your career in the financial and association industry Ready for your next professional step?
