Applied AI Engineer - 100% Mission

Job Description

On behalf of our client, a Swiss fintech specializing in innovative financial solutions, we are looking for an AI Engineer.

You will join an international technical team to develop AI solutions in production within a startup environment that prioritizes autonomy and trust. Full-time position, remote work, ideally from Switzerland or a nearby time zone, with the possibility to work in the offices in Genève. Start date as soon as possible, depending on your notice period.

Main Missions

• Design and deploy systems using large language models (LLM) in production.
• Develop RAG solutions on large document sets, with embeddings and vector databases.
• Build agents integrating tools, APIs, and external data.
• Evaluate and improve the quality, relevance, and reliability of results.
• Develop data pipelines and features in TypeScript and Python.
• Document systems and collaborate with teams to meet business needs.
• Explore new AI tools and contribute to the continuous improvement of the product.

We are looking for a profile meeting the following criteria:

• At least three years of experience in software development, with a specialization in applied AI.
• Proven experience with LLM systems in production: RAG, vector databases, agents, and evaluation of results.
• Good mastery of TypeScript and Python; knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL is appreciated.
• Experience with financial, market, or on-chain data is an asset.
• Education in computer science or engineering; an EPFL or ETH Zurich background is appreciated, but not mandatory.
• Autonomy, sense of responsibility, and the ability to communicate and document one's work clearly.
• Technical curiosity and desire to invest long-term in a startup.
• Professional English; French is an asset.
