The Verkehrsverbund Luzern (VVL) plans and is responsible for the public transport offering in the Canton of Luzern and operates the office of the Passepartout tariff association. Together with the transport companies, the VVL ensures that over 100 million passengers arrive safely and reliably at their destination in the Canton of Luzern every year.

Your tasks

• You initiate and lead projects for the further development of the public transport offering for bus and rail as well as new and complementary mobility offerings.
• You analyze and interpret data on public transport and prepare the results in an understandable and illustrative manner, for example regarding demand, service indicators, mobility behavior, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• You further develop our data bases as well as monitoring/controlling instruments, thereby creating important foundations for service planning, impact control, and sound decision-making.
• You coordinate the public transport projects with higher-level planning and concrete infrastructure projects, bringing in the interests of the VVL in the process.
• Depending on your workload, your interests, and your strengths, you take on responsibility for further future topics such as digitalization in public transport, Mobility-as-a-Service, quality, or capacity management.
• You work closely with transport companies, municipalities, the canton, and other internal and external partners.
• You prepare reports, presentations, and statements and summarize complex issues in an understandable way.

Your profile

• You have a university degree (Uni, ETH, FH) in mobility, spatial planning, or a comparable field of study.
• You bring technical competence in transport planning and project management and ideally have several years of experience in public transport.
• You have a strong affinity for data and numbers, think analytically, and know how to derive meaningful insights from complex data bases. You enjoy data analysis and visualization and are motivated to familiarize yourself with new applications and methods.
• You have experience and enjoy working and coordinating with different stakeholder and interest groups (politics, administration, economy, regional development agencies, transport companies, passengers, associations, etc.).
• You work goal-oriented, independently, in a structured manner, and with a high awareness of quality.
• You are a committed, team-oriented, motivated, communicative personality who represents their viewpoints convincingly.
• You express yourself confidently in spoken and written German.
