Do you want to independently lead projects in the urban sewer network and actively contribute to the reliable drainage of Zürich? With us, you will accompany future-oriented projects from planning to execution and contribute to the long-term maintenance and further development of the urban sewer infrastructure. At the Werdhölzli location in Zürich Altstetten, we are looking for reinforcement from January 2027 or by arrangement.

Tasks ##

• You lead demanding sewer construction projects in the drainage business unit and actively help shape the future-oriented rainwater management of the City of Zürich.
• You assess sewer construction projects, analyze hydraulic relationships, and conduct technical negotiations with internal departments and external partners.
• You develop concepts, strategies, and decision-making bases for hydraulic, structural, and planning issues, using modern analysis and simulation tools.
• You make an important contribution to the further development of the General Drainage Plan (GEP), manage hydrodynamic models, and coordinate the services of external specialist planners.
• You work closely on a project-related as well as interdisciplinary basis with the Civil Engineering Office, other municipal departments, and internal working groups.

Profile ##

• Civil, cultural, or environmental engineer (FH / Uni / ETH)
• In-depth knowledge in hydraulics, urban drainage, and GEP processing, as well as sound experience with hydrodynamic simulation programs and knowledge of databases, ideally scripting languages (e.g., Python)
• Several years of professional experience in the planning, design, and realization of municipal civil engineering and/or urban drainage
• Business fluent German in speaking and writing (Level C1)
• Independent and structured way of working, strong stakeholder management, and enjoyment of technically complex issues and their implementation
