In LANAT, spatial data is of essential importance. In the development phase of the GIS coordination office, its conceptual and strategic orientation is central. In operational business, the position supports the individual departments of LANAT with GIS technical questions as well as with the planning and implementation of projects, all in close coordination with the cantonal GIS strategy. The position is organizationally located in the Abteilung Naturförderung.

Your tasks

• Build and operate a cross-departmental GIS coordination office at the LANAT level
• Coordinate and accompany processes, projects, and activities surrounding the GIS topic
• Support specialist departments with GIS issues and GIS applications
• Assistance with data analysis, data preparation, and quality assurance
• Lead the Forum Geoinformation LANAT and represent LANAT in specialist committees

Your profile

• University or university of applied sciences degree as an engineer, computer scientist, or geographer with a personal connection to nature and agriculture
• Several years of experience in handling GIS systems (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, QGIS)
• Good knowledge regarding data management and geodata infrastructures
• Didactic competencies as well as further training in project and process management desired
• German native language with good oral French skills

It educates, advises, shapes, and supports in all areas surrounding nature and agriculture and implements the corresponding legal bases. The position is organizationally located in the specialist department that primarily deals with nature conservation (Naturförderung).
