The Social Department includes the assessment service, the Social Service for Children and Adolescents, the Social Service for Adults, the Central Services, the Social Audit Office, the Health Promotion Specialist Office and the Labor Integration Specialist Office.

For the Fachstelle Gesundheitsförderung, we are looking for, by arrangement, a

Specialist Responsibility for Generations, Volunteer Work and Addiction (60 – 70 %)

Your tasks:

• You are the focal point for the City of Thun for the specialist topics of old age, intergenerational living, volunteer work and addiction prevention/harm reduction
• You bring people and organizations together and create solutions together for societal challenges
• You address current issues in your specialist area and contribute them to technical and conceptual further development
• You initiate and organize events and projects that create encounters, promote exchange and make societal issues visible
• You write reports and decision-making bases independently, in a structured manner and with a focus on the essentials
• You represent the City of Thun in regional and cantonal committees and contribute its concerns as well as your specialist expertise
• You actively participate in shaping the future direction and further development of the specialist office

You bring with you:

• Degree in Social Work (University of Applied Sciences or University) or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in social work; in-depth knowledge in the areas of responsibility and in project management is desirable
• Strong ability to network as well as experience in moderating workshops
• Enjoyment of contact with external organizations
• Flexibility, innovative strength, resilience, assertiveness and conflict management skills
• Quick comprehension, analytical thinking and good work organization
• Interest in political and societal issues
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing
• Good user knowledge of common MS Office programs
