What you can contribute

• Lead the SIRENE Commissariat for Schengen searches in terms of personnel, organization, and domain-specific tasks
• Coordinate the exchange of technical information and criminal police information, particularly concerning international search requests in the Schengen Information System (SIS)
• Collaborate closely with the Federal Office of Justice, the State Secretariat for Migration, the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security, cantonal police forces, other national partners and, at the international level, the search services of the Schengen States
• Ensure the smooth functioning of the service, the direction and coordination of work processes within the commissariat
• Support the strategic development of Schengen searches and, if necessary, participate in national and international committees

What makes you unique

• Police officer certificate; continuing education in the legal or police field is an asset
• Several years of management experience and knowledge in the field of policing, especially judicial, and solid knowledge of criminal law and criminal procedure
• High writing proficiency, sense of communication and cooperation
• Ability to handle a large workload, to integrate quickly into a team and to demonstrate collegiality
• Very good knowledge of two official languages and English; knowledge of other languages is an asset

The SIRENE CH Engagement and Alarm Center is the national contact point for information exchange and police searches within the framework of the Schengen Information System (SIS). It continuously processes police requests from Switzerland and abroad, coordinates their transmission to the competent national authorities and supports international search and investigation procedures as well as the management of special situations.
