Sportamt

Due to the retirement of the current job holder, we are looking for a service-oriented and personable individual for the Directorate Staff per 1 January 2027 or by arrangement as

Tasks

• Strategy implementation and portfolio management: You specify the implementation plan for the "Sportstadt Zürich 2035" strategy, manage the cross-departmental project portfolio of the Sportamt, and systematically monitor the implementation progress.
• Management of complex projects: You coordinate and lead cross-departmental projects of high strategic importance.
• Support for the executive management and steering groups: You draft strategic foundations and advise the executive management and steering groups.

Profile

• Education: Completed Master's degree (University, ETH, FH).
• Project experience: Several years of experience in managing interdisciplinary projects.
• Communication: Confident appearance in committees, presentations, and training; proficient in written and spoken language.
• Methodology: High analytical and conceptual skills as well as networked thinking.
• Advantageous: Experience in public administration, ideally cross-departmental; interest in sport and knowledge of the Zürich sports landscape and sports promotion.

About us

The Sportamt is a service department of the Schul- und Sportdepartement of the Stadt Zürich. It is the competence center for sports promotion and provides sports facilities as well as indoor and outdoor pools to the athletically active population and clubs. The organization of compulsory swimming lessons as well as voluntary school sports are also among the core tasks of the Sportamt. With targeted information, the Sportamt motivates more movement and advises and supports sports organizations.
