Ref 2580029 | Date: 21 Sept 2026 Federal Administration Scientific Officer in national surveillance systems (interoperability and health data standards) Bern, Schweiz (and home office) | 80-100% What you can contribute * develop digital surveillance systems for communicable diseases by developing concepts and health data models * define, implement and update health data standards and associated terminology (e.g. HL7 FHIR, SNOMED CT, LOINC) * develop information models, data exchange formats and specific regulatory frameworks for national surveillance * implement technical requirements in technical specifications, standards, configurations and system settings What makes you unique * master or bachelor accompanied by relevant professional experience in natural sciences, for example in biology, bio-engineering, medical informatics or an equivalent discipline * experience in one of the following areas: health data standards, interoperability, data modeling or digital transformation projects of the healthcare system * experience in public health, particularly in connection with the surveillance and control of communicable diseases * active knowledge of two official languages and, if possible, passive knowledge of the third In a few words Develop the foundations that will allow the efficient, standardized and viable exchange of health data in order to strengthen the surveillance of communicable diseases!
