Your contribution

• Lead the International Cooperation department in technical, organizational, personnel, and financial respects
• Represent Switzerland in international organizations regarding weather and climate and maintain the international and national relationship networks
• Advise the executive management and develop positions on international business
• Accompany the national implementation of the GAW and GCOS programs from a strategic, political, and financial perspective
• Coordinate and strategically further develop MeteoSchweiz activities in the field of development cooperation

What makes you unique

• Master's in natural sciences or in the field of international relations
• Proven several years of leadership experience as well as very good negotiation skills and advisory competence
• Strong understanding of meteorology and climatology
• Integrative personality with high capacity for cooperation and a pronounced understanding of cross-departmental decision-making and coordination processes
• Strong understanding of the cultural, political, and institutional peculiarities of international organizations as well as the ability to act confidently in this environment
• Very good knowledge of two official languages as well as good English skills
