Project Manager Shell Construction Lötschberg Base Tunnel

To be able to continue operating the Lötschberg Base Tunnel while only a few meters away the second tube is being excavated and expanded: This places the highest demands on planning, construction execution, and safety. As a Team Leader Shell Construction, you represent the interests of BLS and actively help shape one of the most demanding railway infrastructure projects in Switzerland. ###

What awaits you:

• Lead the execution design of the shell construction excavation and lead your and the external project team through the demanding project phase
• Coordinate the interfaces with the existing tunnel system, the ongoing railway operations, and the railway technical equipment
• Control the realization of the shell construction in close cooperation with the track construction management and the executing companies
• Ensure that requirements and permits are met, that execution takes place according to plan, that the required proofs are provided, and that the systems are handed over for subsequent equipping
• Coordinate closely with the Alptransit team, the specialist departments of BLS, and other project participants

What you bring with you:

• Completed studies as a Civil Engineer FH or ETH, ideally supplemented by further training in business administration
• Several years of experience in the design and realization of tunnel structures, preferably in larger railway infrastructure projects
• Sound knowledge of public procurement
• Strong understanding of complex technical contexts as well as a structured and goal-oriented way of working
• Strong communication and negotiation skills and perseverance as well as enjoyment in working with different specialists
• Business-fluent German skills
