The department of social affairs includes the evaluation service, the social service for children and adolescents, the social service for adults, the central services, social control, the health promotion center and the professional integration center. Your tasks:

• You are the central point for the city of Thun for specialized themes related to age, intergenerational cohabitation, volunteering and addiction-related harm prevention/reduction
• You bring together people and organizations and together create solutions to societal challenges
• You address current issues in your field of expertise and contribute to their professional and conceptual development
• You initiate and organize events and projects that promote encounters, encourage exchanges and make societal issues visible
• You write reports and decision bases in an autonomous, structured and targeted manner
• You represent the city of Thun in regional and cantonal commissions, bringing its interests as well as your expertise
• You participate actively in the future orientation and development of the center

You bring:

• A degree in social work (university of applied sciences or university) or an equivalent qualification
• Several years of professional experience in social work; in-depth knowledge in the fields of activity and in project management are desired
• A great capacity for networking as well as experience in facilitating workshops
• Enjoyment of contact with external organizations
• Flexibility, spirit of innovation, resistance to stress, assertiveness and ability to manage conflicts
• A good capacity for analysis, analytical thinking as well as good organization of work
• An interest in political and societal issues
• Excellent command of German, both oral and written
• Good knowledge of common MS Office programs
