Pro Natura is the leading nature conservation organization in Switzerland. With its 170,000 members, it is committed to the promotion and preservation of indigenous fauna and flora. About a hundred people work at the Pro Natura General Secretariat, and 100 others are active in the 23 cantonal sections.

To strengthen the human resources department at the Pro Natura General Secretariat in Basel, we are looking for, for 1 March 2027 or an agreed date, an

HR Generalist, 80 %-90 % ##

Your mission

You accompany and support employees and hierarchical superiors throughout their life cycle within the organization, with full autonomy.

Your tasks

• Support and advice to hierarchical superiors regarding workforce planning, prospecting, recruitment, management, and development
• Contact for all questions relating to human resources, both for employees and for hierarchical superiors
• Support and advice in case of illness, accident, and retirement
• Responsibility for the administrative management of entry and exit processes, including personnel file management
• Revision of regulations and employment conditions
• Personality tests as part of recruitment, situational assessments, etc.
• Support and advice to hierarchical superiors for salary setting and staff selection
• Support to the HR manager and substitution in her absence
• Taking charge of personal projects, participation in projects, and technical responsibility for certain HR themes such as health management

Your profile

• HR specialist training and several years of experience in an HR advisory and support function
• Experience in HR administration, independent drafting of certificates, and all HR processes
• Keen sense of human relations and what is necessary in certain situations, great empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
• Talent for finding the right words in delicate moments, a benevolent and humorous outlook on others
• Calm and pragmatic approach to challenges, confident and optimistic attitude
• Courage and curiosity, strong disposition for introspection, and pleasure in accompanying and supporting others
• Perfect command of German (native language) and very good command of French; bilingualism is an asset
• Affinity for IT and digitalization, experience and interest in the relevant and sustainable use of AI in human resources
• Autonomy, sense of responsibility, creativity, integrity, and ability to manage conflicts
