Department Head Sales Back Office (100 %)

Your role

As Department Head Sales Back Office, you ensure that our processes in order processing, complaint and returns management, and logistics run smoothly. You lead a well-coordinated team of two young, committed female employees – both personally and professionally – that pulls in the same direction and does not relent even in hectic times. In doing so, you work hand in hand with our field sales force and our purchasing department – the back office is the backbone that keeps everything running in the background. You report directly to the Sales Manager Switzerland.

Your tasks

Together with your team:

• you lead and develop your two female employees and shape everyday life in the back office
• you are responsible for efficient order processing – from the entry of electronic, telephone, and written orders to delivery, price, and product information in cooperation with purchasing and suppliers
• you control the logistics processes – goods receipt, goods issue, and quantity allocation, returns and repair management – as well as the organization and execution of stock inventories including reconciliations
• you process incorrect deliveries, discrepancies, and complaints in a solution-oriented manner and create the associated credit notes
• you optimize, automate, and document processes in the sales back office and monitor our order interfaces including first-level support
• you coordinate the cooperation with our logistics service provider and organize the logistical processes surrounding our trade fairs

What you bring with you

• a commercial basic education or training in retail with professional experience in sales back office – several years of industry experience is a plus
• professional and leadership experience from a similar position
• a strong customer orientation and commercial expertise, which are a matter of course for you
• good manners and confident communication: German is your primary language, French is required, Italian is an advantage
• the calm to maintain an overview even under pressure, team spirit, and an independent, exact way of working – with the motivation to contribute your own ideas and sometimes go the extra mile
• familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office products
