YOUR TASKS

• You are responsible for the architecture, operation, and further development of our Kubernetes and DevOps platform based on SUSE Rancher/RKE2, including the Linux infrastructure.
• You develop and operate automated CI/CD and GitOps pipelines with Forgejo, Rancher Fleet, and Argo CD for reliable software deployments.
• You automate platform operations with Ansible, AWX, and Infrastructure as Code and consistently reduce manual processes.
• You ensure stable and secure platform operation -- from monitoring, updates, and lifecycle management to troubleshooting in 2nd-level support as well as on-call service.
• You shape the technical architecture, define standards, and evaluate new technologies to continuously develop the platform.
• You work closely with ICT teams as well as application and development teams, support them with technical requirements, and ensure traceable documentation.

YOUR PROFILE

• You have a completed ICT education (vocational training, university of applied sciences, or university) or an equivalent qualification.
• You bring at least five years of experience in system engineering with Linux as well as at least three years of experience in the operation of productive Kubernetes platforms and in DevOps, CI/CD, and GitOps.
• You have sound knowledge of Kubernetes, SUSE Rancher/RKE2, Git-based DevOps/CI/CD workflows, as well as automation with Ansible/AWX and GitOps with Rancher Fleet or Argo CD. Certifications such as CKA/CKS as well as from SUSE Rancher, Red Hat, or in the cloud sector are an advantage.
• You have experience in the architecture and design of platform solutions as well as sound knowledge in the areas of Linux, networks, high availability, and container security.
• You work independently, reliably, and in a solution-oriented manner and enjoy taking on responsibility. In addition, you impress with your quality awareness and your strong customer and service orientation.
• You communicate confidently in German (C2) and have good English skills (B2); French skills are an advantage.
