Head of Accounting & Finance Transformation (w/m/d)

In this key role, you will take overall responsibility for the operational daily accounting business as well as the strategic further development and transformation of the accounting function within our Hospitality area. You will ensure the stability, integrity, and compliance of all financial processes while simultaneously driving the modernization, standardization, and automation of end-to-end financial processes.
The focus is on combining operational excellence with sustainable Finance Transformation: you will optimize closing processes, implement modern technologies, and create scalable structures that optimally align the finance function for future growth.
What you can achieve
Operational responsibility Accounting & Finance
Overall responsibility for the operational daily business in the finance area across several operations
Ensuring correct, complete, and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Responsibility for the continuous shortening of closing cycles (fast-close approach)
Standardization and quality assurance of financial reporting according to USALI or relevant local accounting standards
Leading internal and external audits as well as being the main contact for auditors, tax authorities, and external partners
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, especially VAT/sales tax filings, payroll taxes, and other hospitality-specific levies
Responsibility for cash, bank, and credit card reconciliations as well as ensuring daily liquidity flows
Finance Transformation + Process Modernization
Redesigning the night audit and revenue reporting process with stronger integration between PMS, POS, and ERP systems
End-to-end optimization and reengineering of "Record-to-Report" (R2R), "Procure-to-Pay" (P2P), and "Order-to-Cash" (O2C) processes
Introduction and scaling of modern automation and AI solutions in transaction-intensive areas such as F&B, Rooms, and Spa
Optimization of AP/AR processes, e-invoicing, credit management, and receivables management
Building and automating internal control systems for fraud prevention and ensuring data integrity
Implementation of modern reporting, BI, and analytics solutions to improve transparency and decision-making bases
Leadership + Team Development
Leadership, coaching, and further development of the accounting team across several locations
Building a high-performance, transformation-oriented finance organization
Definition of clear goals, conducting regular performance reviews, and promoting professional and digital competencies
Close cooperation with Operations, IT, HR, and other stakeholders on cross-departmental initiatives
Active role as a change leader in the introduction of new processes, systems, and ways of working
What you bring with you
Preferably a Master's degree or professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or comparable) as well as continuous further training in Finance Technology, Data & AI
Sound experience in Accounting & Finance, including several years in a leadership role within complex or multi-unit organizations
Proven experience in leading finance transformations including reengineering of R2R, P2P, and O2C processes, ERP/system implementations, as well as automation initiatives
Comprehensive IFRS knowledge as well as a sound understanding of USALI standards, accounting, compliance requirements, and internal control systems
In-depth knowledge of modern financial technologies and automation solutions, particularly ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, NetSuite, Workday), RPA, AI/Machine Learning applications, AP/AR automation, as well as modern closing and reporting platforms
Very good knowledge of BI/analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) as well as hospitality-specific systems such as Opera PMS, Oracle Micros, M3, or BirchStreet is desired
Pronounced expertise in process optimization, automation, and finance operating models with a focus on increasing efficiency and scalability
Strong analytical skills, high financial competence, and entrepreneurial thinking
Experience in stakeholder and change management across Finance, Operations, and IT
Leadership personality with high implementation strength as well as strong communication and coaching skills
Work location: 2-3 days per week in Andermatt or Altdorf: the remaining portion is possible via home office
