System Specialist Telecommunications (80-100%)

How you ensure electricity in Switzerland

In this varied role, you are part of the Network Operation Center and thus the central point of contact for internal and external customers. Your tasks include, among others:

• Ensuring trouble-free operation of the telecommunications and remote control infrastructure throughout Switzerland
• Receipt, analysis, and rectification of faults
• Processing service requests and, if necessary, forwarding tickets to subsequent departments or service providers
• Supporting field service employees with access, installation, commissioning, and fault rectification
• Further development of operative processes (ITIL) and documentation
• Participation in projects as a representative of operations (NOC)
• Level-appropriate communication and escalation in the event of faults and problems
• Performing 24/7 on-call duty (readiness is mandatory)

How you make the difference

For these positions, we are looking for a communicative and empathetic team player. You are resilient and have a structured way of working as well as very good documentation skills. Furthermore, you bring the following:

• Technical vocational training in the field of electrical engineering, telecommunications, or informatics, or an equivalent training
• Experience in the operation of complex communication infrastructures
• Very good knowledge of at least one of the technologies used (especially WDM, but also telephone systems, VoIP, IP, MPLS)
• Experience in the operation of communication or secondary technology in substations
• Readiness for continuous change and further training
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (certification is an advantage)
• Very good German skills mandatory, good English skills, French or Italian an advantage
